Oklahoma bill would let inmates earn good-time credits sooner while awaiting prison transfer
A bill filed in advance of the 2026 legislative session would let state prisoners start earning credits for good behavior faster. Sen. Dave Rader, R-Tulsa, filed Senate Bill 1213 after meeting with the Oklahoma Department of Corrections about how the state can reform its criminal justice system.

One of the prisoners in the brickyard that day was originally sentenced to five years for burglary, but in 1925, the inmate had killed his cellmate and received an additional twenty-five-year sentence.
